The National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune (NCRA) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) (an autonomous institute under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India) is an internationally reputed research institute.

NCRA-TIFR has set up and operates two radio telescopes, viz., the Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT) and the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT). NCRA-TIFR is on the lookout for suitably qualified candidates for the following position tenable at GMRT Observatory, Khodad.

1) Engineer-D (Electronics) – [01 PostUR; HQ: Khodad]

Minimum Qualifications: i) M.E./M.Tech or PhD (Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university

Experience: Minimum 2 years in design and development of Radio Frequency systems / Antenna Receiver systems / Optical Fibre systems

Desirable: Experience in advanced techniques of design, development and operations of low noise amplifiers, broad-band amplifiers, filters, optical fibre transmitters and receivers, and other components used in radio frequency receiver systems; knowledge of design tools used for the above applications

Age: Below 35 years

2) Engineer-C (Electronics) – [4 Posts: 2 UR;   HQ Khodad 1 OBC; HQ: Khodad 1 UR;   HQ: Ooty]

[TME: 49550/-, (Khodad), 48200 (Ooty) PB-3: 15600-39100, GP: 5400]

Minimum Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech (Electronics) Graduate with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university.

Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in Analog electronics / Radio Frequency electronics / Optical Fibre systems in a large and reputed organization.

Desirable: Experience in designing, development and operations of low noise amplifiers, broad-band amplifiers, filters, optical fibre transmitters and receivers, and other components used in radio frequency receiver systems.

Age: Below 28 years for UR and 31 years for OBC.
