National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar was established in the year 1987 as Regional Engineering College and was given the status of National Institute of Technology  (Deemed University) by the Government of India on October 17, 2002 under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, New Delhi. Now the  Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India has declared the Institute as “Institute of National Importance”under the act of Parliament-2007.  The Institute has been  placed amongst top 50 engineering institutions of the country as per the survey conducted by Mint-C Fore in the year 2008.

Deputy Registrar

No of Posts- 01

Educational Qualification: Masters’ degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University/Institute.

Experience: 9 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of 6000/- and above with experience in educational administration or complete experience in research establishment and /or other institutions of higher education.

Salary- Rs 35,000/-

Assistant Registrar

No of Posts- 04(Finance and Accounts-01, Store and Purchase-01, Establishment-01, Academic/Administration-01)

Educational Qualification:Masters’ degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University / Institute with excellent academic record, Qualification in area of Management / Engineering / Law

Salary- Rs 30,000/-

Medical Officer

Educational Qualification: MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register, Post Graduate qualification, preferably MD, in general medicine.

Experience: Two years experience in Government or reputed dispensary

Nodal Officer(Court Cases)

Scientific/Technical Officer

Educational Qualification:B.E. / B.Tech Degree in Mining Engineering with first class or equivalent grade (6.5 in 10 point scale) and consistently excellent academic record.

Experience:Ten years working experience in the laboratory, preference will be given to MTech degree holder.

Nurse

Educational Qualification: BSc Nursing or GNM

Experience: Two years relevant experience in Government or reputed dispensary.

Salary- Rs 12,000/-

Visiting Faculty (Mining Engineering)

No of Posts- 02

Requirement: Academic personnel from Universities, institutes, R &D Labs, Industry or Government in India or abroad, including those on sabbatical leave from other institutions or retired.

Salary- Negotiable

Persons retired from similar organization will be preferred.
