BARC announces recruitment for Technical Officer

BHABHA ATOMIC RESEARCH CENTRE (BARC) invites on-line application for the following Group ‘A’ Gazetted posts as follows:

Category no 1                       

Recruitment for: Technical Officer/C (Electrical), No of Posts- 03 (Gen- 2, ST-1)

Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech. in Electrical discipline with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University.

Desirable: Knowledge of different high voltage high current semi-conductor switches and their applications for development of compact high voltage power supplies; knowledge of basic governing mathematical equations involved in the functioning of a high voltage pulse power system, different types of capacitors & high voltages park gap switches and their applications, knowledge of high current and high voltage pulse generation and measurement techniques.

Category no 2

Recruitment for: Technical Officer/C (Electronics), No of Posts- 03(Gen-1, OBC-1, ST-1)

Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Electronics discipline with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University

Desirable:Knowledge of developing firmware for FPGA and DSP based systems, knowledge of testing and debugging of FPGA based systems, knowledge of fibre optic passive and active components and lasers.

Category no 3

Recruitment for: Technical Officer/C (Mechanical), No of Posts- 02(SC-2)

Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical discipline ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University.

Desirable: Experience of working in component and system design tools (3D), knowledge of material properties for different insulating materials.

Category no 4

Recruitment for: Technical Officer/C (Physics), No of Posts- 10(Gen-6, 0BC-3, SC-1)

Educational Qualification: M.Sc in Physics with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University.

Desirable: Physics with Statistics and Mathematics background, knowledge in LASERs and LASER applications, semi conductors, spectroscopy techniques, computers etc, knowledge of equation of state modelling and design of experiment in the field of high energy density physics.

Category no 5

Recruitment for: Technical Officer/C (Chemistry), No of Posts- 09 (Gen-5, OBC-3, SC-1)

Educational Qualification: M.Sc in Chemistry with ≥60% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University.

Desirable: Knowledge in instrumental methods of chemical analysis

Job Location: Mumbai

Age Limit as on Last Date of Application: Less than 35 years for UR, less than 38 years for OBC, less than 40 years for SC and less than 40 years for ST.

Salary: Pay band + Grade pay- 15600-39100 + 5400 (GP)

Total Emoluments including all allowances (A1 city) (Approx.) – Rs 54,500/-
