The notification for JIPMER Puducherry Recruitment 2016 for Junior Research Fellows has been announced. Jawaharlal Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) has issued a notification for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under DST – SERB Sponsored Research Project.
Eligible candidates can apply online for the post of Junior Research Fellow on or before 18th February 2016
Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) – One
Project Title: “Association of Vitamin D and related variables with postpartum depression in South Indian women”
Duration of Project: 2 years
Tenure: Period of 1 year (likely to be extended beyond 1 year based on satisfactory performance); the post is purely temporary in nature, co-terminus with the project
Educational Qualification: M. Sc or equivalent degree Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Life sciences /Medical biochemistry/ MLT/ with at least 60% marks and NET qualified (or); B.E/ B.Tech or equivalent degree in Biotechnology with at least 60% marks and GATE qualified (or); M.Sc/M Tech or equivalent degree in Biotechnology with at least 60% marks
Experience: One year research experience in Molecular biology/ Genetics
Desirable: Candidates with experience in PCR, Real Time PCR and good in biostatistics and manuscript writing will be given preference
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 28 years as on the last date of receipt of applications. Age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST/OBCs and Physically Handicapped on production of suitable certificates from the competent authority (Women candidates are also given age relaxation of 5-years)
Consolidated salary of Rs 16,000/- plus 10% HRA as per DST guidelines
Based on Interview; the walk-in interview will be held on 25th February 2016 in the Conference Room, Department of Biochemistry, JIPMER
Interested candidates should take hard copy of the Application Form and paste his/her recent photograph in the space provided and send (as the topmost page) along with the following documents to Dr. R. Last date for submission of soft copy of applications is 18th February 2016
