Short Term Contract Employment

Indian Institute of Science and Technology (IIST) invites application for following positions on contract basis to work on Research and Development (R&D) Projects.

Positions:

Senior Project Fellow:

SPF 01 Eligibility: First Class M.E / M.Tech or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, nanotechnology, Polymer Technology and Allied areas.

Junior Project Fellow:

JPF 01 Eligibility: First Class B.E/B.Tech in Aerospace/Mechanical, AM-AeSI or First Class M.Sc in Mathematics.

Skills: Knowledge of fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics; knowledge or programming languages like C/Fortran

Working knowledge of CFD software is desirable.

JPF 02 Eligibility: First Class M.Sc in Physics

Two year research experience in the field of Statistical/Biological Physics preferred

JPF 03 Eligibility: First class M.Sc in Chemistry. Specialization in Organic Chemistry is desirable.

Experience in computational Chemistry is desirable.

JPF 04 Eligibility: First class B.E/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science and engineering or Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Knowledge about computer networking skill in C/C++ and shell scripting on Linux/Unix platforms is required.

Experience with networking simulator tools such as Network Simulator 3, QualNet, NS2, is desirable.

Candidates who have published original research papers in IEEE/ACM/Elsevier Journals/Conference proceedings are preferred.

Candidates must attach the publication list along with the application form.

Age limit: 35 years as on 22nd February, 2014 (SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/Person with Disability) are eligible for age relaxation as per rule.

Remuneration: For senior project fellow Rs 22, 000/- per month (Consolidated)

For Juniour Project Fellow Rs 20, 000/- Per month (Consolidated)

General Instruction:

The tenure of short term contract appointment is for a period of One Year and extendable on performance and need basis.

Candidates should enclose attested true copies of the relevant certificates / Testimonial along with the Application.

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ Ex-Servicemen/PWD should produce copies of the relevant certificates issued by the Competent Authority to that effect.

The Institute reserves the right to terminate the assignment at any time before completion of the contact appointment, if it so decides.
