Vidyasagar University, Midnapore invited applications from eligible candidates for the posts of Associate Professor, Professor, Assistant Professor, Deputy Director, Officer on Special Duty, Senior Superintendent and Junior Assistant-cum-Typist. The notification for Vidyasagar University Recruitment for Teaching & Non-Teaching Posts has been announced.

Qualification & Experience:

Professor: An eminent scholar with consistently good academic record and a PhD degree in the concerned/ allied/relevant discipline with a number of high quality research publications in reputed journals and/or publication of books; with at least 10 years’ experience in University/College and/or experience in research in University/reputed research institutions/industries

Associate Professor: Educational Qualification: Good academic record with a PhD degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines; at least 8 years’ experience in University/College and/or experience in research in University/ reputed research institutions/industries

Assistant Professor: A Master’s degree in concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed); NET qualified

Deputy Director: Post Graduate degree (MBA or other equivalent professional degrees included) with 55% marks with at least 10 (ten) years’ experience in government or commercial institutions / organization

Officer on Special Duty: Uniformly good academic record with a Master’s degree or its equivalent; with at least 10 (ten) years’ experience in government or commercial institutions / organization

Senior Superintendent: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; with at least 8 years’ experience in government or commercial institutions / organization

Senior Superintendent: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; with at least 8 years’ experience in government or commercial institutions / organization

Junior Assistant-cum-typist: Higher Secondary (10+2) I Pre-University or its equivalent and Diploma in computer application of MS Word, MS excel, MS Power Point etc.

Age Limit

Deputy Director: 55 years

Special Duty: 60 years

Senior Superintendent & Junior Assistant-cum-Typist: 40 years

Pay Scale

1. Professor: Rs 37,400-67,000/- plus Academic Grade Pay Rs 10,000/- & other allowances as admissible
2. Associate Professor: Rs 37,400-67,000/- plus Academic Grade Pay Rs 9000/- & other allowances as admissible
3. Assistant Professor (Consolidated Pay): Rs 40,000/- per month
4. Deputy Director (Consolidated Pay): Rs 40,000/- per month
5. Officer on Special Duty: Rs 15,600-39,100/- plus Academic Grade Pay Rs 6000/- & other allowances as admissible
6. Senior Superintendent: Rs 9000-283001/- plus Grade Pay Rs 46001/- and other allowances as admissible
7. Junior Assistant-cum-Typist: Rs 7200-254001/- plus Grade Pay Rs 33001/- and other allowances as admissible

Application Fees: Post No. 01-04: Rs.800/-; for Post No.05: Rs.600/- and Post No. 06 & 07: Rs.400/-
