Psychometric tests may be conducted to release the final IBPS clerk list

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is most likely to scrap interviews for IBPS clerk posts this year. Also, the IBPS authorities may introduce psychometric tests to replace the interview format. The psychometric test will be conducted only for the candidates who will crack the IBPS CWE clerical mains exam.

The Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India, has already issued notification that from 1st January 2016, there will be no recruitment with the interview at the junior level posts in the government of India ministries, departments, attached and subordinate offices, autonomous bodies and PSUs.

The Public Sector Banks (PSBs) have been advised to explore other alternatives to strengthen written examination such as by including psychometric tests, etc. to replace interview mechanism.

In case, the IBPS authorities scrap interviews to introduce psychometric test, the final list of successful candidates may be released with psychometric test marks.
