National Innovation Foundation notifies recruitment for 2014

National Innovation Foundation-India (NIF), Ahmedabad, an autonomous grant-in-aid institution of Department of Science and Technology, Government of India invites applications from highly motivated professionals for various positions

Those who have faith in the potential of grassroots innovators and are initiative-driven and performance-oriented may apply for the following posts

Fellows/Senior Fellow (Contractual)

Scale of Pay: Rs. 20000 – 60000 plus HRA (Consolidated)

No. of Vacancies: 25 (Twenty five) in following areas:

i) Agriculture (Entomology, Agriculture Chemistry, Plant Breeding, Plant Pathology, Extension, Microbiology)

ii) Life Science (Plant taxonomy, Ethnobotany, Microbiology)

iii) Medical Science (Ayurvedic, Allopathic)

iv) Natural Product Chemistry

v) Veterinary Science

vi) Engineering (Agricultural Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical)

vii) Business Development/Entrepreneurship Development/angel investment

viii) Intellectual Property Rights, licensing, patent pooling, technology transfer

ix) Mass Communication and Journalism, copy editing, web content management, documentation, etc.,

x) Rural Development /Social Work/Social Anthropology

xi) Information technology management, advanced hands-on professionals with experience in database, ERP, website management, web publishing, etc,

Qualification

Essential Qualification: First Class Masters in relevant area with at least one year full time work experience in reputed institutions/companies

Desirable Qualification: Doctorate degree in relevant area

Age: Not exceeding 35 years. The upper age limit is relaxable for the applicants from the SC/ST/OBC/PH and other special categories in accordance with the orders issued by the Central Govt. from time to time

General Information:

1) The Controlling Authority may give relaxation in qualification, experience and the upper age limit in case of deserving candidates

2) All positions are purely temporary and no claim for permanence can be made regardless of the duration of the contract

3) The number of posts to be filled may vary. The institute reserves the right to cancel the recruitment without assigning any reason

4) The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview

5) Preference will be given to those candidates, who have published research and popular articles in reputed journals/newsletters

6) The selected candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India

7) The persons with disabilities are also allowed to apply though no vacancies are reserved for them. Such candidates will be considered for selection for appointment to the posts by general standards of merit

8) Candidates working in Government Departments / Public Sector Undertakings / Autonomous organisations should apply through proper channel
