NABARD announces recruitment for the post of Development Asst 2016

National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 85 Development Assistant vacancies in various regional offices. Eligible candidates can apply online form 30th Aug to 20th September 2016

Age Limit

Candidate’s age should be between 18-35 years as on 31st July 2016 (Candidates must have been born not earlier than 01st August 1981 & not later than 31st July 1998 (both days inclusive); age relaxation is applicable to 5 years for SC, ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 for PWD & for other refer notification

Educational Qualifications (as on 31st Jul 2016):

Development Assistant:

  1. i) At least a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on Computer
  2. ii) A candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category should either be a graduate from a recognized University or should have passed the matriculation or its equivalent examination of the Armed Forces and rendered at least 15 years of defence service

iii) Candidates applying for post in a particular state should be proficient in the language of the state i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language. Candidate should also be able to write and speak English

Development Assistant (Hindi):

  1. i) Should be a Graduate with, minimum 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates), Hindi/English as subjects or Hindi as medium of instruction at Graduation level with English as compulsory subject or English as medium of instructions level with Hindi as a compulsory subject; Knowledge of Computer Operation is essential
  2. ii) Candidates applying for post in a particular state should be proficient in the language of the state i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language. Candidate should also be able to write and speak English. Wherever, marks of the candidate are in percentile, they will have to submit a certificate indicating percentage equivalent to percentile from the concerned institution

Pay Scale

Selected Candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs 8860/- per month (i.e. Rs.8040/- plus two advance increments admissible to graduates only) in the scale of Rs 8040 – 410 – 9270 – 500 – 11,270 – 550 – 13,470 – 650-15,420 – 720-16,140-990-20,100 (20 years) and other allowances, viz. Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time

At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments for Development Assistants is approximately Rs.24948/-; the pay scale is under revision

Scheme of Selection

The selection process will involve two phases viz. Preliminary and Main Exam. Both the exams will be held online. The details of the exams are as under:

Preliminary Exam

  1. Test of English Language – 40 questions & 40 marks
  2. Test of Numerical Ability – 30 questions & 30 marks
  3. Test of Reasoning – 30 questions & 30 marks

Total – 100 Questions & 100 Max Marks; Duration: 1 hr

Main Exam

Test of Reasoning – 30 questions & 30 marks

Quantitative Aptitude – 30 questions & 30 marks

General Awareness – 50 questions & 50 marks

Computer Knowledge – 30 questions & 30 marks

Test of English Language (Descriptive) – Essay, Précis, Report/Letter Writing & 50 marks

Total – 100 Max Marks. Composite time of 90 minutes for Objective Tests and 30 minutes for Descriptive Test

 

Preliminary Exam for Development Assistant (Hindi)

  1. Test of English Language – 40 questions & 40 marks
  2. Test of Professional Knowledge (Hindi) – 30 questions & 30 marks
  3. Test of Reasoning – 30 questions & 30 marks

Total – 100 Questions & 100 Max Marks; Duration: 1 hr

Application Fee

Candidates should pay Rs.450/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST/PWD/EXS) non-refundable through online by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/Mobile Wallets. No fee for Staff candidates

Candidates to go to the NABARD’s website www.nabard.org click on the option “APPLY ONLINE” which will open a new screen

To register application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and Email-id

A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen

Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password. An Email & SMS indicating the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent
