Maharishi Dayanand University announces recruitment for Project Fellows 2014 in UGC-SAP & UGC-BSR in Department of Genetics
M.D. University will be holding walk-in-Interview on July 24, 2014 for the University Grant Commission awarded UGC-SAP and UGC-BSR Research Fellowship for the academic session 2014-15 with the purpose of providing opportunities to meritorious students to undertake research leading to Ph.D degree in Genetics
The candidates who will be awarded these fellowships have to work; in the thrust areas of the department
I) UGC-BSR = 5: The tenure of fellowship is initially for two years extendable for further period of three years on the basis of research work of the first two years. The selected candidates will be required to work on “Characterization of antimicrobial compounds of Plant and Bacteria”
Nature of Assistance: Fellowship is Rs.14000/- p.m.
Only those candidates can apply who are eligible for registration to Ph.D programme or already registered for Ph.D Programme as per UGC Guidelines in Department of Genetics, M.D. University, Rohtak
Age: Age must be below 40 years
Desirable Qualification: NET-LS
Other Conditions: The search fellow, with the consent of the Guide / Head of the department, may assist the University in its academic work, including tutorials, evaluation of test papers, laboratory demonstration, supervision of field work, library activities like group seminars and symposia, provided such work is not likely to hinder the search program
The total amount of time to be spent on such activities should not exceed 10 hrs a week
Cancellation of award of fellowship: Fellowship is liable to cancellation in case of i) Misconduct, ii) Unsatisfactory progress of research work / failure in any examination related to Ph.D or iii) Fellowship is found ineligible later

Date of Interview: 24th July 2014 at 12.00 P.M. in the office of Head, Department of Genetics, M.D. University, Rohtak-124001, Haryana
No separate interview letter will be sent
Interested candidates have to appear for interview on the said date and time along with hard copy of the bio-data and testimonials
