Age limit:

Age limit which is being notified by the authority is set by the authority is that applicants should possess the minimum age to be 18 years and maximum age limit is being set as 37 years.
This age limit is made to reckon by the applicants by the date 1st Jan 2013. Upper age dispensation is pertinent to the applicants that are physically handicapped candidates up to 39 years, RBA, SC, ST, ALC, SLC category, candidates in govt.

Service up to 40 years and to the Ex Serviceman applicants up to 48 years

Educational Qualification:

Qualification which is essential for the applicants to crack the post of medical officer is the MBBS or should have the possession in the graduate medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part-II of the 3rd Scheduled (other than licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

Selection Procedure:

Authority had certain set of the rules which are being related with the selection of the applicants so that the appropriate candidate could be selected for the panel and that means of the selection is associated with the performance of the applicants in the written screening test and the fortuned applicants from it will be liable to proceed through the interview session and after it final recruitment will be made.

How to Apply:

Applicants must acknowledged the application as per the prescribed format of the authority and make sure before sending it to the authority that it is being enclosed with all the required testimonials that are being attested by the gazette officer to the required authority.

Method to get application form:

Applicants can get the application form from the office of the J & K Public service commission with the payment Rs. 500 excluding the charges of processing of Rs.10 for the general category applicants and the applicants that come under the reserved category will make a payment of Rs. 250 excluding the charges of processing of Rs.10.

Application can be getting between the time 9:30 am to 3:00 pm during all the working days of the authority.

Important Dates:

Date till which the applications are being expected to be accepted by the authority is 19th Sep 2013.

Date that is being tentatively scheduled by the authority for the screening test for the short listed applicants is 24th Nov 2013.
