Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad is one of the lead Centre of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Dept. of Space (DOS)
 
Applications are invited for selection to the positions of Graduate and Technician Apprentices under the Apprentice Act, 1961 from candidates who have Degree/Diploma from a recognized University / Board coming under Western Region of Board of Apprenticeship Training (Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh & Diu & Daman (UTs).

Eligibility

 
Educational Qualification
 
Qualification for Above Post: B.E/B.Tech. (FIRST CLASS) with aggregate minimum 65% Marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA/CPI grading of 6.84 on a 10 scale in the relevant field declared by recognized University

6. Graduate Apprentice (Library Sci. /Library & Information Sci.): Bachelor’s Degree (FIRST CLASS) in Library Science / Library & Information Science or equivalent declared by recognized University/Institution
7. Graduate Apprentice (Hotel Mgt. & Catering Technology): Bachelor’s Degree (FIRST CLASS) in Hotel Management / Hotel Management & Catering Technology / Hospitality & Hotel Administration / Catering Science & Hotel Management declared by recognized University/Institution
8. Technician Apprentice (Hotel Mgt. & Catering Technology): Diploma (FIRST CLASS) in Hotel Management / Hotel Management & Catering Technology/Hospitality & Hotel Administration / Catering Science & Hotel Management declared by recognized University/Institution/State Board of Technical Education
9. Technician Apprentice (Electronics & Communication Engg):
10. Technician Apprentice (Mechanical Engg.)

General Conditions/Instructions:
 
Only Indian Nationals are eligible for applying
 
Upper Age Limit
 
35 years as on 15th December 2017 (relaxation of 03 years in case of OBC and 05 years in case of SC, ST candidates. Age relaxation for PWD candidates is as per Govt. Rules.)
 
Selection Procedure
 
The Written Test will be conducted only for the Screened-In candidates. Based on the written test scores, required no. of candidates alone shall be called for skill test. Written Test will be conducted in such a way that theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate is tested covering both breadth and depth of the prescribed curriculum
 
The skill test will be purely on ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection. The skill test will be evaluated on a 100-point scale with minimum 60% for qualification. From amongst candidates who qualify in the skill test with minimum 60% marks, empanelment will be done in the order of marks obtained in the written test
 
In case of a tie in the written scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification will be the tie-breaker
 
Stipend
 
(i) Graduate Apprentice: Rs.5000/- per month
 
(ii)Technician Apprentice: Rs.3542/- per month
 
The period of training will be one-year and apprentices engaged will be registered under Apprentice Act, 1961
 

Application Procedure

 
Application should be registered on-line only. Read General Conditions/Instructions for filling the online application carefully. Candidates should regularly visit the SAC website www.sac.gov.in for latest updates
 
Outstation Candidates called for Skill Test will be paid to and for Second Class Sleeper Railway Fare or fare of non-AC bus or actual fare whichever is less by the shortest distance from the address given in on-line application to the place of Skill Test on production of proof of journey, irrespective of the mode of journey viz.,Rail, Bus, Air, etc. No TA will be paid for attending Written Test
