How to join Territorial Army (TA)?

Answer.   Only the male citizens between the age of 18 to 42 years who have completed their graduation in any discipline and gainfully employed are eligible to be commissioned in Territorial Army as nondepartment TA commissioned officers. The advertisement for recruitment as commissioned officers in TA is published twice a year in the months of Jan/Feb and Jul/Aug. Candidates who want to apply for TA are required to send a postal order of Rs.10/- and detailed bio-data along with a self-addressed envelope with Rs.12/- postage stamp to the concerned TA group Headquarter. For application form, you can apply to the concerned TA Group Headquarter and submit the completed application with required documents to the same command:-

(ii) TA Group HQ, Western Command, Building No 750, Sector 8B, Chandigarh (UT)

(iii) TA Group HQ, Eastern Command, Kolkata- 21
