Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Kokrajhar is situated in Kokrajhar District of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) in Assam. The Institute was established on the 19th of December 2006. CIT has been established for the basic objective of fulfilling the aspirations of the Bodo People relating to their cultural identity, language, education and overall economic development of the region and to impart Bodo youths with requisite technological and vocational training to produce the required manpower to give the impetus to economic growth of this area and to integrate the Bodo People into the mainstream of Technical and Vocational Education. It is a Centrally Funded Institute under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Assistant Professor

Core Engineering excluding Animation & Multimedia Technology

ME/M.Tech Degree in the relevant discipline in First Class (5% Relaxation for SCs/STs) with consistently good academic record, preferably Ph.D. degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline from a reputed institution/university.

Experience: Research/Industrial/Teaching experience in the relevant discipline for a minimum of 1 year, good publications record in referred scientific/ professional journals.

Basic Sciences and Humanities & Social Sciences

MA/MSc Degree in the relevant discipline, in First Class (5% relaxation to SC/STs or as per UGC norms) or qualified in NET conducted by UGC/CSIR, with consistently good academic record, preferably Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline from a reputed institution/university

Experience: Research/Industrial/Teaching experience in the relevant discipline for a minimum of 1 year, good publications record in referred scientific/ professional journals.

Animation &Multimedia Technology

Master’s Degree in relevant branch (Animation or Multimedia or Fine Arts/Visual Art) from a recognized University or Institute of repute with first class (5% relaxation to SC/STs or as per UGC norms) in Master’s Degree and specialized in one or more of the following fields: 2D and Flash

Animation/3DModeling/Texturing/Rigging/Animation/Lighting/Compositing/VFX/Audio and video editing.

Experience: Research/Industrial/Teaching experience in the relevant discipline for a minimum of 1 year

Age:Less than 40 years on the last date of receiving application.

Salary Package: PB3 -Rs.15, 600-39,100/-+ AGP: Rs.6, 000/-

Associate Professor

Core Engineering

Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline from a reputed institution/university, preceded by a BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech Degree in the relevant discipline in First Class (or equivalent) with consistently good academic record

Experience: Teaching as regular service/Research/Industrial/Teaching experience in the relevant discipline for a minimum of 10 years, evidence of ability to pursue high quality academic/research work independently

Basic Sciences and Humanities & Social Sciences

Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline from a reputed institution/university, preceded by a UG/PG degree in the relevant discipline in First Class (or equivalent) with consistently good academic record

Experience: Teaching as regular service/Research/Industrial/Teaching experience in the relevant discipline for a minimum of 10 years, evidence of ability to pursue high quality academic/research work independently

Age: Less than 55 years on the last date of receiving application

Ph. D Degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline from a reputed institution/university, preceded by a UG/PG Degree in the relevant discipline in First Class (or equivalent) with consistently good academic record
