Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited announces Recruitment 2015

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited, a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka, is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) entrusted with the responsibility of implementing the Metro Rail Project in the city of Bangalore. BMRCL invites applications from qualified and experienced Officers for appointment to key senior, middle / junior level Engineering / Management positions in the Project Wing. All appointments proposed will be on “contract basis” only.

No. of posts, qualification and experience prescribed is given below

1.) Dy. Chief Engineer (Design)

No. of Posts 2

Minimum Educational Qualification – B.E. Civil/ME (Structures) preferred,

Experience – Minimum 15 years experience in designing of pre stressed concrete bridges / viaducts for Metros/ Railways/ Highways. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in Metro.

2.) Executive Engineer (Design)

No. of Posts – 2

Minimum Educational Qualification – B.E. Civil/ ME (Structures) preferred

Experience – Minimum 12 years experience in designing of pre stressed concrete bridges/viaducts for Metros/ Railways/ Highways. Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in Metro.

3.) Dy. General Manager (Architecture)

No. of Posts – 2

Minimum Educational Qualification – B. Arch./ M.Arch preferred

Experience – Minimum 15 years of total architectural design experience out of which at least 7 years experience should have been on mega infrastructure projects. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred. The candidate should be well experienced in the architectural design. Shall be conversant with the procedures for obtaining statutory clearances from local authorities. Candidate need to effectively coordinate with other inter disciplinary departments and the detailed design consultants / sub consultants

4.) Manager (Architecture)

No. of Posts – 2

B.Arch.

Minimum Educational Qualification – M. Arch preferred

Experience – Minimum 12 years of total architectural design experience out of which at least 5 years experience should have been on mega infrastructure projects. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred. The candidate should be well experienced in the architectural design. Shall be conversant with the procedures for obtaining statutory clearances from local authorities. 5.) Assistant Manager (Architecture)

6.) Dy. General Manager (Contracts)

No. of Posts – 1

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE(Civil)

Experience – Overall experience of 15 years and minimum 7 years experience in dealing with Tender & Contracts Management for mega infrastructure works with International financial funding including preparation of Tender documents, evaluation of tenders, contract management and arbitration. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling of contracts in Metro rail projects.

7.) Manager (Contracts)

No. of Posts – 2

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE(Civil)

Experience – Overall experience of 12 years and minimum 5 years experience in dealing with Tender & Contracts Management for large value infrastructure works with International financial funding including preparation of Tender documents, evaluation of tenders, contract management and arbitration. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in handling of contracts in Metro rail projects.

9.) Dy. Chief Engineer /Safety and Health

No. of Posts – 2

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE / B. Tech (Civil ) with Diploma in Industrial Safety

Experience – Minimum post qualification experience of 15 years in Safety Management for major Construction Sites. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

10.) Executive Engineer /Safety and Health

No. of Posts – 2

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE / B. Tech (Civil ) with Diploma in Industrial Safety

Experience – Minimum 12 years post qualification experience in Safety Management for major Construction Site. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

11.) Assistant Executive Engineer /Safety and Health

No. of Posts – 4

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE / B. Tech (Civil ) with Diploma in Industrial Safety

Experience – Minimum 8 years post qualification experience in Safety Management for major Construction Site. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

12.) Assistant Engineer/ Safety and Health

No. of Posts – 8

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE / B. Tech (Civil ) with Diploma in Industrial Safety

Experience – Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in Safety Management for major Construction Site. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

13.) Executive Engineer / Launching

No. of Posts – 3

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE(Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engg

Experience – Minimum 12 years post qualification experience of which at least 7 years should be in launching of girders for construction of viaducts/ bridges. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

14.) Asst. Executive Engineer/ Launching

No of Posts – 3

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE(Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engg

Experience – Minimum 8 years post qualification experience of which at least 5 years should be in launching of girders for construction of viaducts/ bridges. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

15.) Asst. Engineer/ Launching

No of Posts – 9

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE(Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engg

Experience – Minimum 5 years post qualification experience of which at least 3 years should be in launching of girders for construction of viaducts/bridges. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

16.) Asst. Engineer/ Survey

No of Posts – 6

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE(Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engg

Experience – Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in survey in major infrastructure projects. Should be conversant with latest survey equipments and methods of surveying . Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

17.) Asst. Executive Engineer/ Quantity Survey

No of Posts – 6

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE / B.Tech (Civil ) or Diploma in Civil Engg

Experience – Minimum 8 years post qualification experience in Quantity Survey for major construction work of Bridges, building. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

18.) Asst. Engineer/ Quantity Survey

No. of Posts – 6

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE (Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engg

Experience – Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in Quantity Survey for major construction work of bridges, building. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

19.) Asst. Executive Engineer/ Underground

No. of Posts -4

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE / B.Tech (Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engg

Experience – Minimum 8 years post qualification experience in tunneling work by TBM, construction of underground stations. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

20.) Asst. Engineer / Underground

No. of Posts – 4

Minimum Educational Qualification – BE / B.Tech (Civil) or Diploma in Civil Engg.

Experience – Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in tunneling work by TBM, construction of underground station. Candidates having experience in metro rail projects will be preferred.

Age Limit: The maximum age limit for the post of Deputy Chief Engineer / Dy. Chief Manager / Executive Engineer / Manager is 55 years and for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer / Assistant Engineer / Assistant Manager 50 years.

Selection Process: Selection will be through Interview by a Committee constituted by the Competent Authority.
