APPSC announces vacancy for the post of College Librarian

The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is a Constitutional body. The Commission advice the Government of Arunachal Pradesh on all matters relating to state civil services and publish notifications inviting applications for selection to various posts as per the requisitions of the appointing authorities, conduct written tests and interview, prepare ranked list based on the performance of the candidates and advice candidates for appointing strictly based on their merit and observing the rules of reservation as and when vacancies are reported.

Recruitment For: College Librarian for Govt. College of Arunachal Pradesh, No of Posts-01

Job Location: Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh

Educational Qualification: Master’s Degree in Library science/information science/ documentation or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55 percent marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed), and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of Computerization of library. However, there is relaxation of 5 percent marks i.e., from 55 percent to 50 percent at master’s degree level for the SC/ST candidates.

Age: The candidate should not be less than 21 years of age and not more than 28 years of age as on May 29, 2014.

Salary Package: Rs 15,600- Rs 39,100 with AGP of Rs 6000/- per month

Selection Procedure: The eligible candidate will have to appear in the interview/Viva-voce to be conducted by the Commission at ltanagar or any other place, which may be decided by the Commission. The final selection of the candidates will be made, on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the interview/Viva-voce.

How to Apply: Along with the duly filled –up format, candidate must enclose the following documents other-wise the application will be rejected:

• Two copies of recent passport size photographs with self attestation in the front side
• Self-attested copies of certificates and mark-sheet right from Class-X onwards up to PG level including PG marksheet issued by the Assistant Registrar/Registrar/Controller of examination/Vice Chancellor of concerned University to ascertain educational qualification
• Self attested copy of APST certificate
• Self attested copy of matriculation certificate for proof of age issued by the Board/University only will be accepted.
