Indian Navy has come out with a recruitment Notification  for course commencing in June 2014 for  grant of Permanent Commission (PC)/Short Service Commission (SSC) in the  Indian Navy, for courses commencing June-2014

Eligibility Conditions

Age: NAIC: 19 ½ – 25 yrs. (Born between both dates inclusive): 02nd July, 1989 to 01st January, 1995
21 – 25 yrs. (Born between both dates inclusive): 02nd July, 1989 to 01st July, 1993
19 ½ – 25 yrs. (Born between both dates inclusive): 02nd July, 1989 to 01st January-1995


Educational Qualification for Indian Navy commissioned officer recruitment 2014

NAIC: (i) BE./B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical, (ii) Post Graduate Degree in Electronics/Physics with minimum 65% marks for only Men

Education: (i) M.Sc Physics (with Maths in B.Sc), (ii) M.Sc Maths (with Physics in B.Sc), (iii) M.Sc (Operational Research/Analysis), (iv) MA (English/History), (v) M.Sc Chemistry with minimum 55% marks for only Men


BE./B.Tech/M.Tech in any of the following disciplines;

Computer Sciences Engineering/Information Technology/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and Communications/Instrumentation/Telecommunication; MCA

With minimum 60% marks for only Men


For SSC Logistics Cadre: B.Com/M.Com, BA/MA (Economics), BBA/MBA, BBM/BMS, BCA/MCA, B.SC (IT)/M.Sc (IT), B.Tech/BE (any discipline), Post Graduate Diploma/Degree in Material Management, ICWA, Chartered Accountancy

With minimum 60% marks for Men and Women

For Works: BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, B.Architecture

Candidates who have not completed their degree on the date of filling the application (i.e. appearing candidates) need not apply

Selection Procedure for  Indian Navy commissioned officer recruitment 2014

Candidates will be issued call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews based on their performance in Degree Course

If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off

Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to short-list applications and to fix cut off percentage

No communication will be entertained on this account

SSB interviews for short-listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore during February to May 2014

State I test, consisting of Intelligences Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests will be conducted on the second day of arrival at SSB

Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage-I will be routed back on the same day

Stage-II Tests comprising of Psychological Testing, Group Testing and Interview will last for 4-days

Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical examination (approx duration 03-05 days)
