Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh (PGIMER) has invited online applications for the recruitment to the posts of Sister Grade-II, Jr. Technician (Lab and X-ray) and Operation Theatre Assistant.
The exam which was conducted earlier on November 08, 2014 but was cancelled by the PGIMER authorizes as it did not met PGIMER standard and a fresh exam was announced.

The fresh written examination for recruitment to the said posts shall now be held by Paper Pencil Mode on February 01, 2015.
Eligible candidates can apply online through the Institute’s website www.pgimer.edu.in.
The online registration of application form has already started from December 16, 2014 and last date to apply online is January 05, 2015 (23.59 hours). Last date to deposit application fee is January 07, 2015.
The candidates who have already applied against the aforesaid advertisement need not apply again. It is also notified that the Centre of written examination by paper pencil mode of the candidates who will apply now shall be at Chandigarh (Tricity) only and the Centre of examination for the candidates who have applied earlier shall remain at the City as per their option exercised earlier.
The candidates should check the Institute website by mid January for their centre details.

(13 Sister Grade-II, 6 Junior Technician (Lab), 2 Junior Technician (X-ray) and 1 post Operation Theatre Assistant respectively are reserved for physically handicapped (OL) category).
ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility for Sister Grade-II, candidate must have completed matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized University/Board. Must have Certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized Institution and should be a registered ‘A’ grade Nurse and midwife with a State Nursing Council.
For Junior Technician (Lab), Candidate with B.Sc. degree in Medical Lab. Technology OR B.Sc. with Diploma in Medical Lab. Technology will be eligible.
For Junior Technician (X-ray), Candidate with B.Sc. degree in Medical Technology (X-ray)/B.Sc. Medical Technology Radiology / B.Sc. Medical Technology Radio-diagnosis/B.Sc. Medical Technology Radiodiagnosis & Imaging Technology are eligible.
To be eligible for Operation Theatre Assistant, Candidate must possess B.Sc. degree in Medical Technology (Operation Theatre/Anaesthesia).
AGE LIMIT:
Candidate should be between 18 to 30 years of age.
Upper Age limit relaxation will be given to following categories:
(i) SC/ST – Maximum 5 years.
(ii) OBC – Maximum 3 years.
(iii) PH – Maximum 10 years.
(iv) Any other category – As per Govt. of India Rules.
PAY SCALE
For Sister Grade-II Rs.9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4600/-.
For Junior Technician (Lab) and Junior Technician (X-ray) Rs.9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200/-.
For Operation Theatre Assistant Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2800/-.
Fee to be paid is as under :
