Recruitment for Selection of Project Staff 2014 in National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) Chennai

The National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM) has been established by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India to develop world class knowledge base in India, related to management of the coastal and marine areas

NCSCM is inviting applications for the following positions

Project Associate I

No of Posts: 15

Monthly Remuneration: Rs 16000 – 20000 consolidated. Remuneration will be fixed based on qualification/experience/expertise of the candidate.

Qualification and Experience: First class M.Tech /M.Sc/ B.E in Remote Sensing/ Geoinformatics from a recognised university or equivalent with about 6 months experience in Georeferencing of High Resolution Satellite Images and extraction of Geomorphological features from OrthoPhotos /3D stereo models (OR)

BA/B.Sc degree with Remote Sensing / Geoinformatics / Geography as subjects or equivalent and with 3 years of similar experience

Software Skills required: ERDAS IMAGINE, ArcGIS, Photogrammetry Suite

Note:

1) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process

2) The above positions are purely on temporary / contract basis and the contract is of 6 months duration with possibility of extension

3) Place of work: Initially at Survey of India premises, Uppal, Hyderabad, with possibility of shifting to NCSCM, Chennai at a later stage

4) Mere fulfillment of qualification / experience does not entitle a candidate to be called for the selection process

5) Offer of contract appointment will be made only to those successful candidates who will be verified / cleared by the Police authorities after their selection, for carrying out such work in Survey of India premises
