Intelligence Bureau, Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer, Grade-II/ Executive vacancies under General Central Service, Group-‘C’
Description of Post
Classification: Group ‘C’, Non-gazetted/Non-Ministerial
Number of Vacancies: 750
- i) Fresh Vacancies (413): UG – 207, OBC – 134, SC – 54, ST – 18
- ii) Backlog Vacancies (337): UR – Nil, OBC – 167, SC – 126, ST – 44
Total Vacancies: 750 [UR – 207, OBC – 301, SC – 180, ST – 62]
Age limit: Candidates age limit should be 18 – 27 years as on last date for receipt of applications
Age relaxation will be applicable as per rule
- i) Upper age limit is Relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates
- ii) Upper age limit is Relaxable for departmental candidates’ upto 40 years of age who have rendered 3 years of regular and continuous service
iii) The age limit is relaxable up to age of 35 years for general candidates and up to 40 years for SC/ST in case of widows, divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands and not remarried
- iv) The age limit is Relaxable for ex-servicemen as well as for candidates who were domiciled in J&K from Jan 01, 1980 to Dec 31, 1989 as well as the children and dependents of victims of communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat as per the Govt instructions in this regard issued by the Central Govt from time to time
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Graduation or equivalent from a recognized University, Knowledge of computers
Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Computer
Service Liability: The post involves All India Service liability; therefore, the Candidates willing to serve anywhere in India only need to apply
Scheme of Exam: The written examination for the post of ACIO-II/Exe contains two papers namely Paper-I (Objective type) and Paper-II (Descriptive type on English language only)
The total duration for both Papers is 1 hour and 40 minutes
Paper I will focus on General Awareness/General Knowledge, Reasoning, Comprehension, Mathematical ability etc. while Paper II will be designed to check English writing skill and analytical capability
Selection of Candidates: Those candidates who acquire a specific standard in the written test (Paper-I & II) will be called for the interview; the date, place and time of interview shall be intimated to the candidates online
Based on the performance of the candidates in written test (Paper-I & II) and interview, they will be selected subject to the condition of successful completion of their Character and Antecedent verification and thereafter medical exam
Pay Scale: Rs.9300-34800 plus Grade Pay Rs.4200 (PB-2) (Plus admissible Central Govt allowances)
Examination Fee
Offline Payment: Candidates can pay Rs.100/- through Challan form at any branch of State Bank of India after a gap of one working day; SC/ ST and female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee
Online Payment: Candidates can pay Rs.100/- through online by using internet banking facility of SBI or through ATM cum Debit card of SBI; SC/ ST and female candidates are exempted from payment of exam fee

Eligible candidates may apply online through the website www.mha.nic.in from 11th October 2014 to 09th November 2014 by 23:59 Hrs

1) Before applying online candidates should have valid email id
2) Candidates have to scan photograph and signature
3) Log on through the website www.mha.nic.in
4) Select the appropriate position applied for
5) Read the notification & instructions carefully
6) Click on the “Click” here to Apply (Part-I)
7) Fill the details carefully and upload the copies of photograph and signature
8) Check the details and submit the application form
9) An unique code will be displayed on the screen
10) Note down the code and take the printout copies of form for future use
Centre of Exam
The candidate has to opt one of the Examination Centre from 33 centres given below for the written exam in the application form: Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Amritsar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Guwahati, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Kohima, Kolkata, Leh, Lucknow, Meerut, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, Shillong, Shimla, Siliguri, Trivandrum, Varanasi and Vijayawada
Note
- While filling in the online application form, the applicant should carefully decide about his/her choice of exam centre
- Examination centre, once opted, will NOT be changed under any circumstances
iii. Applications received from a candidate for more than one Examination Centre would be rejected
- Candidates opting for Delhi as centre of Exam may not necessarily get Delhi as exam centre; however, efforts will be made to accommodate them in nearby centres

Fee Deposited Date: For example, if the challan is printed on 09th November 2014, the fee can be deposited in cash on 11th November 2014 & the payment status could be checked on 14th November 2014
