Educational Qualifications

Candidates with following educational qualification may apply:

For Education Cadre: (i) M.Sc Physics (with Maths in B.Sc) (ii) M.Sc Maths (with Physics in B.Sc) (iii) M.Sc Chemistry (iv) MA (English or History or Pol. Science) (v) MCA (Physics or Maths at Graduation Level); or

BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in any of the Mechanical/Electronics & Communication/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Tele Communication/Electrical/Computer Science/Information & Technology disciplines

For Naval Armament Inspection Cadre: B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics. Production, Instrumentation, IT, Chemical, Metallurgy and Aerospace Engineering

For Logistics Cadre: BE/B.Tech in any discipline with first class (ii) MBA with First Class (iii) B.Sc/B.Com/B.Sc (IT) with first class and a PG Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Material Management (iv) MCA/MSC(IT) with First Class

Nationality: Indian

Age Limit

a) Education Cadre: 21 – 25 years (i.e. born between 02nd July 1991 to 01st July 1995 both dates inclusive); Types of Comissions – PC and; Gender – Male

b) NAIC: 19½ – 25 years (i.e. born between 02nd July 1991 to 01st January 1997 both dates inclusive); Type of Comission – PC and; Gender – Male

(c) Log: 19½ – 25 years (i.e. born between 02nd July 1991 to 02nd January 1997 both dates inclusive); Type of Comission – SSC and; Gender – Male & Female

Note: Candidates who have not completed their Degree on the date of filling the application (i.e. appearing candidates) need not apply

Physical Standard

Height & Weight: Minimum height Male – 157 cm, Female – 152 cm with correlated weight as per age

Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standards for distance are 6/6, 6/12 correctable to 6/60, 6/60 with glass (candidates should not be color/ night blind)

Promotions & Pay Scale

Promotion from Sub-Lieutenant to Commander is on time scale basis subject to fulfillment of requisite service conditions. The Pay Scale and promotion criteria are as follows:

i) Sub Lieutenant (SLt): PB-3/15600-39100; Grade Pay Rs 5400/-; MSP Rs 6000/-

ii) Lieutenant (Lt): PB-3/15600-39100; Grade Pay Rs 6100/-; MSP Rs 6000/-

iii) Lieutenant Commander (Lt Cdr): PB-3/15600-39100; Grade Pay Rs 6600/-; MSP Rs 6000/-

iv) Commander (Cdr): PB-4/37400-67000; Grade Pay Rs 8000/-; MSP Rs 6000/-

iv) Captain: PB-4/37400-67000; Grade Pay Rs 8700/-; MSP Rs 6000/-

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their performance in degree course; shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their Email or through SMS

Stage-I test consisting of intelligence test, Picture Perception and Discussion test. Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day

Stage-II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview which will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Exam (approx duration 03-05 days)

Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medically fit, will be appointed for training in order of All India Merit depending on the number of vacancies

Change of SSB venue for interview is not permissible

No compensation will be paid in respect of any injury sustained as a result of tests

Candidate may submit Online (e-application) through www.joinindiannavy.gov.in under Apply Online Officer Entry link from 24th October 2015 to 14th November 2015

After final submission of application candidate must take two printout copies of the online Application and Paste recent passport size colour photograph on one copy and send to Post Box No.04, RK Puram Main P.O., New Delhi-110066 on or before 24th November 2015
