Indian Navy (Nausena Bharati) invites applications from unmarried Indian citizens for Permanent Commission (PC) Officer in Logistics Cadre and Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Education Branch of Indian Navy for the course commencing Jan 2018 at Indian Navy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.

Indian Navy Officers recruitment 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
For Education Branch: Born not earlier than 02nd Jan 1993 and not later than 01st Jan 1997 (both dates inclusive)
For Logistics Cadre: Born not earlier than 02nd Jan 1993 and not later than 01st Jan 1998 (both dates inclusive)
Educational Qualifications
For SSC (Education): The candidates should posses minimum 60% marks for B. Tech and 50% Marks for Post Graduate in M.Sc. Physics (with Maths in B.Sc.) or M.Sc. Maths (with Physics in B.Sc.) or M.Sc. Chemistry (with Physics in B.Sc.) or MA (English) with (physics or maths in intermediate or equivalent standard) or;
Masters in Computer application or Computer science (Physics or Maths at Graduation Level) or MA (History/ Pol. Science/Economics) OR BE/B. Tech/M. Tech in any of the following disciplines: Mechanical /Electrical/Computer Science /Technology
For PC (Logistics): The candidate should pass one of the following degrees in First Class BE/B. Tech in any discipline or MBA or B.Sc./B.Com/B.Sc (IT) with first class and a PG Diploma in Finance/Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Material Management or MCA/MSC (IT)
Physical Standards
a) Height & Weight: Minimum height Male – 157 cm, Female – 152 cm with correlated weight as per age and height
b) Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standards for distance are 6/6, 6/12 correctable to 6/60, 6/60 with glass; should not be colour/night blind.
Indian Navy Officers recruitment 2017 Application Procedure
Candidates are to register and fill application on the recruitment website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in
The candidates are to apply online from 01 Apr 17 to 20 Apr 17; online (e-application). Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following:
(a) Correct filling up of personal particulars. Details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate
(b) Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled
(c) All relevant documents preferably in original [Mark sheets of all semesters, Date of birth proof (as per 10th/12th certificate), Mark sheet of 12th standard, CGPA Conversion formula for BE/B Tech] and a recent size colour photograph should be scanned in original in JPG/FIIT format, respectively for attaching the same while filling up the application. If any scanned document is not legible / readable for any reason, the application will be rejected

Indian Navy Officers Selection Process
The candidates will be issued call up for Services Selection Board (SSB) based on their performance in Degree Course. If a candidate possesses higher qualification with better percentage, his higher qualification will be considered for cut off
Integrated Head quarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off percentage
No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for short listed candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during June 2017 – August 2017
Shortlisted will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their E-Mail or through SMS
Pay Scale
The Pay Scale and promotion criteria are as follows:
Sub Lieutenant: PB-3/15600-39100; Grade Pay Rs.5400/-; MSP Rs.6000/-
Lieutenant: PB-3/15600-39100; Grade Pay Rs.6100/-; MSP Rs.6000/-
Lieutenant Cdr: PB-3/15600-39100; Grade Pay Rs.6600/-; MS Rs.6000/-
Commander: PB-4/37400-67000; Grade Pay Rs.8000/-; MSP Rs.6000/-
Cost to Company (CTC)
The CTC for a Sub Lieutenant would be approximately Rs.72,444/- to Rs.81700/- per month. This includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, House Rent Allowances, Transport Allowance, Ration Allowance and kit Maintenance Allowance
These rates are likely to change post implementation of 7th CPC
