Applications are invited for the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2015 by the Indian Air Force for grant of Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent/Short Service Commission in Technical and Ground Duty Branches. See AFCAT 2015 Notification
Both male and female Indian citizens as per Citizenship 1955 can apply for the courses commencing in January 2016.
Candidates can register themselves on IAF website www.careerairforce.nic.in. The online application process has already started from December 06, 2014 and the last date to apply is J anuary 01, 2015. The AFCAT and EKT Exam will held on February 22, 2015.
Candidates applying for Flying Branch should have a attained 60 per cent marks in the graduation degree (minimum 3 years degree course) in any discipline or B.E./B.Tech degree (4 year course) from a recognized university and should have passed Maths and Physics at class 12 level. Candidates who have failed the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT) in an earlier attempt or a Flight Cadet suspended from flying training at Air Force Academy are not eligible to apply for Flying Branch .
Candidates with 60 per cent marks in minimum of four year degree qualification from a recognized university are eligible to apply for the Technical Branch course (Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE (L) and Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE (M)).
For Ground Duty Branch courses, Candidate with 60 per cent marks in a Graduation Degree (Minimum three year degree course) in any disciplines or 50 per cent marks in Post Graduate Degree/equivalent Diploma in any discipline are eligible to apply for Administration and Logistics Branch .
Candidates with 60 per cent marks in a Graduation Degree in Commerce (B.Com) (Minimum three year degree course) with 50 per cent marks in Post Graduate Degree in Commerce (M.Com) /CA/ICWA are eligible to apply for Accounts Branch.
Candidate with 50 per cent marks in Post Graduate Degree in any discipline are eligible to apply for Education Branch.
Candidates who are short-listed on the basis of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) will be called for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Board (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar or Varanasi.
