Compensation Package
The package applicable for Scale-I officer is with the Basic Pay of Rs 32.795/- per month in the scale of Rs 32,795-1610(14) – 55335- 1745(4)-62315 plus admissible allowances and other non-core benefits (full details are given in GIC Re website)
The total gross salary will be approx. Rs 49,500/-
Age Limit
The Age limit for the above recruitment (as on as on 27th March 2017) is Minimum 21 years and Maximum age limit is 30 years. Candidates must have age limit between this limit otherwise he/she will be disqualified
Relaxation in upper age limit as per the government guidelines
Eligibility
Educational Qualifications
Legal: LLB / B.L
Agricultural/Horticulture Science: B.Sc. – Agriculture/Horticulture
Hindi: Post Graduate in Hindi with English as one of the subjects in Graduation or Post Graduate in English with Hindi as one of the subjects in Graduation
Civil Engineer: BE Civil
Marine Engineering: 1 BE/B Tech (Marine)
Aeronautical Engineering: BE/B Tech (Aeronautical)
Chartered Accountant: CA/ICWA
Information & Technology: B.E. / B. Tech Engineer/MCA/IT/ Computer Science
Medical (MBBS): MBBS
Actuarial: Graduate in any discipline with atleast 60% marks for General & OBC candidates and atleast 55% marks for SC/ST candidates Passed 7 papers of Institute of Actuaries of India or Institute & Faculty of Actuaries, London, out of which CT6 is compulsory
Company Secretary: CS/CS INTER
Executive PA: Graduate
General: Graduate
For General Stream a candidate must possess the minimum qualification of a Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University with atleast 60% marks in either of the degree exam for General & OBC candidates and atleast 55% marks for SC/ST candidates
For Specialist Stream, a candidate must possess the minimum qualification in the relevant discipline from a recognized University with atleast 60% marks in either of the degree examination for General & OBC candidates and atleast 55% marks for SC/ST candidates OR any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Govt. with the prescribed benchmark
Selection Procedure and Exam Pattern
Candidates will be selected based on the Online Written Examination which will be followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview
The total marks for Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview will be 200
The Minimum qualifying marks decided by the recruitment company in the online test will be different for Categories:
60% for General & OBC
50% for SC /ST
Minimum qualifying marks for overall selection process (online test, GD and Interview) – 60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST
Choice of Centre for Written Test
Centre New Delhi – NCR, Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/Thane, Kolkata/Greater, Kolkata, Chennai. The examination will be conducted online in venues to be given in the respective call letters
Application Fee
To be available in full notification; the full notification will be available in official website of GIC from 8th March 2017
How to Apply
Candidates satisfying the eligibility conditions have to apply through online registration system of GIC Re i.e. https://gicofindia.in
Online submission of the applications will be allowed on the website between 08th March 2017 to 27th March 2017. No other means/mode of application shall be accepted
While applying on-line, candidate should have the following readily available
- E-mail ID (which must be valid for at least one year from the date of application)
- Mobile No (which must be valid for at least one year from the date of application)
Non-refundable amount of Rs.500/- as Processing and Examination fees has to be paid on line only as per instruction given in above website upon completion of registration and application. (Candidates belonging to SC/ST category and PH candidates and the employees of GIC and GIPSA Member Companies are exempted from the fees). Demand Draft/ Money Order/Postal Order or any other mode of payment is not acceptable
