Age Limit
Candidates age should be between 18-35 years for General Merit, 18-38 years for category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB candidates & 18-40 years for SC/ST & category I candidates as on the last date fixed for receipt of application
Age relaxation 3-years is applicable to Ex-military Personnel (EX-MP) & for other refer notification
Eligibility for GESCOM Recruitment 2016
Candidates who have obtained the minimum percentage of marks as prescribed below in respective qualifying examinations only are eligible to apply for these posts
- a) For applicant is belonging to General Merit Category: 60%
- b) For applicant is belonging to Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB: 50%
- c) For applicants belonging to SC/ ST: Pass Class
Educational Qualification
Candidates should possess acquired B.E/ B. Tech in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering for S.No-1, acquired B.E of a recognized University or AMIE (India) qualification in Electrical and Electrical & Electronics for S.No-2, M.Com or MBA (Finance) for S.No-3 & for other refer notification
Selection Process for GESCOM Recruitment 2016
Recruitment to these posts will be made by selection strictly on merit based on the marks secured in the Online Aptitude Test only, duly following reservation policy of Govt. of Karnataka
Aptitude Test
An online Aptitude Test of two (02) hour duration will be conducted for 100 marks with multiple-choice answer; each question will carry one (01) mark; there will be negative marking and 0.25 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
Candidates will have to appear for the online aptitude test in any one of the following preferred Centre:
Bengaluru
Mysuru
Davangere
Mangaluru
Hubballi – Dharwad
Belagavi
Kalaburgi
Application Fee: Candidates should pay Rs.500/- for General Category & Category I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB, Rs.300/- for SC/ST through any post Office in the Jurisdiction of Karnataka. In addition to the prescribed application fee an additional amount of Rs.15/- will have to added as service charges of postal department
