CBSE to recruit Assistant Directors and Professors

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is inviting application from interested candidates for the post of assistant director and professor. Total number of opening stands at 28.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited application from interested candidates for the post of professor and assistant director. There are 28 openings in total, and eligibility as well as other criteria vary from post to post.

The openings for the available profiles stand as follows: Assistant professor and Joint Director: 2; Assistant Professor and Deputy Director: 1;   Assistant Professor and Assistant Director: 21; Deputy director (Training): 1; Deputy director (assessment and evaluation): 1; Assistant director (assessment and evaluation): 2.

For the post of Assistant Professor and Joint Director, the candidate must be below 45 years and have a Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55 per cent mark or Grade B in the University Grant Commission’s seven point scale from a recognized university or institute. The candidate must also possess SLET/NET (or equivalent) or a Doctorate degree. Apart from that, the ideal candidate must also have at least six years of experience with GP 6600/ or equivalent. Pay scales for these two profile is PB-3 Rs15,600-39,100+ GP Rs7,600/.

For the post of Assistant Professor and Deputy Director, the candidate must be below 40 years and possess a Master’s Degree in any discipline with minimum of 55 per cent marks or Grade B in University Grant Commission’s seven point scale from any recognized board or university. The candidates must also possess SLET/NET (or equivalent) or a doctorate degree. In addition, the candidate must also have an experience of six years with a GP of 5400/ or equivalent.

For the post of Assistant Professor and Assistant Director, the candidate must be below 35 years and possess a Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 55 per cent marks or with Grade B in University Grant Commission’s seven point scale. The candidate should also be a qualified SLET/NET (or equivalent) or possess a doctorate degree.

Other profiles including Deputy Director (Training), Deputy Director (Assessment and Evaluation) and Assistant Director (Assessment and Evaluation) also require the same qualification: Master’s Degree in any discipline with at least 55 per cent marks or with Grade B in University Grant Commission’s seven point scale; and SLET/NET (or equivalent) or a doctorate degree. The maximum age for Deputy Director (both Training and Assessment & Evaluation) is 40 whereas that for the post of Assistant Director (Assessment and Evaluation) is 35.
