Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Lathe Operator: Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI Pass Certificate in Lathe Operator Trade
• Machinist: Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI Pass Certificate in Machinist Trade
• Welder: Passed 8th class examination from a recognized school and ITI Pass Certificate in Welder Trade
• Fitter: Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI Pass Certificate in Fitter Trade
• Electrician: Passed 10th class examination with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI Pass Certificate in Electrician Trade.
• Electronics Mechanic: Passed 10th class examination under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent and ITI Pass Certificate in Electronic Mechanic Trade

Age Limit (As on 16th Aug. 2018)

• Not less than 16 years
• Maximum age limit is 24 years for General Candidates.

Relaxations in Upper Age Limit

• Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes – 5 Years
• Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 Years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities(PWBD) – 10 Years
• PWBD Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe – 15 Years
• PWBD- Other Backward Class (Non-Creamy layer) – 13 Years

Selection Procedure

• The candidates will be shortlisted for training on the basis of marks obtained in their ITI standard/course and Trade competency

Amount of Stipend:

• 90% of the minimum wage of semi-skilled workers notified by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu, if he/she had undergone 2 years ITI Training course
• 80% of the minimum wage of semi-skilled workers notified by the Govt. of Tamil Nadu, if he/she had undergone 1-year ITI Training Course

• Interested eligible candidates are first required to register in the web portalhttps://apprenticeship.gov.in for enrolment as Apprentices
• The applications will not be accepted without registration in the above-mentioned web portal
• Candidates have to apply for the respective trade through the Establishment Registration No.: E12153300082, the Establishment ID for NPCIL, MAPS. However, submitting the hardcopy of application is must for screening/selection
• Candidates may download the Application Form (Annexure-I) from the NPCIL Websitewww.npcil.nic.in. Before applying the candidate should ensure his/her eligibility for Apprentice Training
• The application should be submitted in the proforma given in the advertisement, preferably typewritten on A4 size paper. The outer cover should be super scribed “APPLICATION FORENGAGEMENT OF TRADE APPRENTICE against Notice No.01/MAPS/HRM/TA/2018
