Shiv Nadar University invites applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow in a DST funded project entitled “dihedral angle controlled functionalized luminescent materials for optoelectronic applications” under the supervision of Dr. Debdas Ray, Dept. of Chemistry, School of Natural Sciences (SNS), Shiv Nadar University (SNU) Uttar Pradesh.

Description: Main goal in this project is to construct low-cost high efficient solid-state emitter, which may lead to the development of new generation of luminescent materials in OLED, NLO, bio-imaging, and sensor

Fellowship: As per DST norms, Rs. 25,000/- p.m. plus HRA as permissible

Duration: One year (extendable based on performance and availability of funds)

Nature of Study

Organic/Inorganic Synthesis and Photo-physical studies (steady state and excited state fluorescence, quantum yield in solid state), Non-linear optical effect, Bio-imaging, and Computational (DFT-TDDFT) approach

Essential Qualifications

The applicant must have M.Sc Degree in Chemistry (Inorganic/Organic/Physical) from a recognized University with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade

It is preferable that the candidate is GATE/NET qualified (attach a copy of the score card) or with any equivalent fellowship or with experience in organic synthesis
