NTPC Recruitment opens for Engineering Executives through GATE 2015

NTPC Limited, the largest power unit in India has announced a new recruitment drive to hire engineering executive trainees through GATE 2015. SEE NTPC 2105 Recruitment Notification for Ex. Engineer Trainees

GATE, an acronym for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore along with the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee).

The minimum educational qualification to be considered for the position is a full time Bachelors degree in engineering or technology/AMIE with minimum 65 per cent marks in each year during the length of the course. Only those who pursued their engineering in one of the following disciplined can apply: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Candidates must not be above the age of 27 as of March 3, 2015. Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Selected candidates will require undergoing training at various places for one year. The final place of posting will be determined upon the completion of the training program. The decision will be taken in due consideration of the candidate’s performance during the training period as well as NTPC’s requirements at that point of time.

During the one-year training period, candidates will be employed at the basic pay of INR 24,990. Upon successful completion of the training program as assistant managers, the candidates will be absorbed at the basic pay of INR 25,650.
