East Coast Railway Recruitment 2015 – Engagement of Act 97 Apprentices

East Coast Railway (ECR) has issued a Notification for the recruitment of Act Apprentices under Apprentices Act 1961 and Apprenticeship Rule 1962 for the year 2015-16 in Carriage Repair Workshop, Mancheswar. The notification for East Coast Railway Recruitment 2015 for Apprentices has been announced.

Interested Eligible Candidates may apply in prescribed format for the ECR Railway Recruitment 2015 on or before the last date. Application forms for East Coast Railway Recruitment 2015 are accepted from 18th November 2015

6. Carpenter – 12 Posts
7. Electrician – 12 Posts
8. Refrigeration & AC Mech – 04 Posts
9. Wireman – 04 Posts
10. Painter – 04 Posts

Minimum Qualification

The Matriculation (matriculate or 10th Class in 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks on average and having ITI certificate in relevant trade is compulsory. No extra weightage shall be granted to candidates having higher qualification

The candidate must have passed the minimum qualification as mentioned

Age Limit

Candidates applying for East Coast Railway Recruitment 2015 should attain below Age Limits as on 01st November 2015

Minimum Age: 15 years

Maximum Age: 24 years

Age relaxation up to 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC candidates is applicable as per rules

Pay Scale: Stipend will be paid as per instructions issued by railway board from time to time

Training Period & Place: Training period will be two years for Carpenter post & one year for other post. Training place will be Carriage Repair Workshop, Mancheswar under Chief Workshop Manager, East Coast Railway

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Application Fee in the form of Indian Postal Order from any Post Office drawn in favour of “FA&CAO, East Coast Railway, payable at Bhubaneswar”

For UR/OBC Candidates: Rs.100/-

For SC/ST, Ex-servicemen, PWD, Women, and Minority Candidates: No Fee

Selection Process

(i) The eligible candidates in terms of notification will be selected in order of merit on the basis of percentage of marks secured in their Matriculation or equivalent exam (State, Central & CBSE)

(ii) The applications received through Employment Exchange and directly should be considered at par and no preference will be given to any source of application

(iii) If any two or more candidates having the same marks, the candidate having older age shall be preferred

How to Apply

Fill the Downloaded Application form in prescribed format with all required details and send it along with xerox copies of all certificates in proof of educational qualification, age, caste, etc. One Recent Passport Size Photo, and two self-addressed envelopes (11 cm X 5 cm size) by duly affixing Rs.5/- Stamp which are superscribed as the “Application for training under Apprentice Act” through Ordinary Post to the Workshop Personnel Officer, East Coast Railway on or before 18th December 2015
