6425 Clerical Cadre posts announced by State Bank of India

State Bank of India has announced recruitment 2014-15 for 6425 Clerical Cadre posts in Associate Banks of State Bank of India. The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department of State Bank of India, Corporate Centre, Mumbai, will be conducting the recruitment for the same and have invited on-line applications from Indian citizens for appointment Clerical Cadre posts in Associate Bank of State Bank of India.

The interested and eligible candidates will have to appear for a written test from a centre of that particular state and will have to apply online through the bank’s official website.

Selection procedure

Final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the written test and interview taken together; merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test or interview.

Pattern for the written test

The written test will be of objective type consisting of; General Awareness; General English; Quantitative Aptitude; Reasoning Ability; Marketing Aptitude/Computer Knowledge. Each test will be of 40 marks; for these objective type tests of total 200 marks. The total time given to attempt the test will be 2 hours 15 minutes.

There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the objective tests; 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Candidates can apply for vacancies in one Bank/State only and will have to appear for written test from a centre of that particular state Bank wise Vacancies 2014-15

1. State Bank of Mysore: 725 Posts [SC – 116, ST – 50, OBC – 196, Gen – 363, VI – 07, HI – 08, OH – 07, XS – 07, DXS – 33]
2. State Bank of Patiala: 1200 Posts [SC – 307, ST – 26, OBC – 271, Gen – 596, VI – 12, HI – 22, OH – 13, XS – 240, DXS – 54]
3. State Bank of Travancore: 1300 Posts [SC – 158, ST – 20, OBC – 348, Gen – 774, VI – 13, HI – 12, OH – 14, XS – 130, DXS – 58]
4. State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur: 1000 Posts [SC – 162, ST – 120, OBC – 207, Gen – 511, VI – 11, HI – 29, OH – 10, XS – 98, DXS – 40]
5. State Bank of Hyderabad: 2200 Posts [SC – 305, ST – 197, OBC – 641, Gen – 1051, VI – 20, HI – 20, OH – 20, XS – 204, DXS – 92]

Total: 6425 Posts [SC – 1048, ST – 413, OBC – 1663, Gen – 3301, VI – 63, HI – 91, OH – 64, XS – 744, DXS – 277].

The above vacancies are provisional and may vary according to the actual requirement of the Banks at the material time.
