Applications are invited from Indian Citizens for the post of Administrative Officers (AO) Scale I :

* Administrative Officer (AO) : 165 posts (UR-83, SC-25, ST-13, OBC-44, (PWD-7)), Age : 21-28 years. Age relaxation as per rules,

Eligibility : Candidates interested to apply for this Oriental Insurance recruitment,

* Must be within 21 – 28 yrs of age  as on 1.1.2010

* Four groups have been formed based on Education & candidates must apply for any one group.

Group A – Candidates with MCA/ MIT/ MCM /BE(CS) Degree

Group B – B.Com with minimum 60% marks OR 55% in M.Com

Group C – Bachelor of Law with minimum 3 yrs experience as practicing lawyer

Group D – Graduation with 60% marks OR 55% in Master Degree

* Candidates with working knowledge of computers would be preferred.

Selection Procedure : Written test on 09/05/2010 shall be Descriptive paper in English language comprising of Essay, Précis Comprehension etc.

Selection : The candidates would be called for a written test which will have Objective Test & Descriptive Test. The Objective test will have the sections – 1) Reasoning  2) English Language 3) General Awareness 4) Professional knowledge(Groups A to C)

5) Numerical Ability (Group D) .

Based on the performance in the written tests, candidates would get a call for Interview, following which the final selection would be made.

Application Fee : Rs.500/- (Rs.50/- for SC/ST)

Emoluments and Benefits: Rs.19,800/-

Basic pay of Rs.11,110/ – in the scale of Rs.11,110- 540(14)-18,670-560(4)-20910 and other admissible allowances as applicable. Total emoluments will be about Rs.19,800/-(approx.) in Metropolitan Centres. Gratuity, LTS, Medical Benefits, Group Personal Accident Insurance, Group Savings Linked Insurance Scheme (GSLI) and other benefits shall be as per rules of the Company. (Pay Scale under Revision)

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will be called for written examination to be held on 09.05.2010 which would comprise of the following:

GROUP A TO D:  Objective Test:

Objective Type Tests of:

(i) Reasoning
(ii) English language
(iii) General awareness
(iv) Professional knowledge- for the post from Group A
to C.
(v) Instead of Professional Knowledge Test, Numerical Ability Test for the post of Group- D.

The first three tests i.e. Test of Reasoning, English Language and General Awareness will be common for
all the candidates. The Test of Professional Knowledge will be specific to each of the Group (A to C) as may be
applicable.

Test papers (i), (iii) and (iv) shall be both in English & Hindi.

Descriptive Test :

The test in English language shall be Descriptive paper comprising of Essay, Précis & Comprehension etc. Candidates will appear for the written examination at their own expenses.

The Company reserves the right not to call any candidate to appear at the written exam. and interview. On the basis of performance in written examination, candidates, will be called for interview and final selection will be made on overall performance in written examination and interview. Outstation candidates called for an interview will be reimbursed to and fro sleeper class fare/bus fare by the shortest route from the station of residence to the station of interview on production of evidence of having undertaken journey for interview purpose.

The candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before they apply that they fulfill the requirements as to age,  qualifications, caste etc. and if found ineligible, their candidature will be cancelled at any stage of recruitment. The decision of the Management/ Selection Committee will be final and binding upon the candidates.
